Jonah's birthday party was June 7, and it was great. Everyone invited was family, and almost everyone came. He seemed to have a good time, and as usual, we had more than plenty of food. Keri made cupcakes (chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet), and they seemed to be enjoyed since there were only a few left over!
We leave for Mexico on Saturday. Patrick will be staying at Grandma & Grandpa's in Grand Ridge, and Jonah will be staying with Nana & Papa in Normal. So, in a way - we're all going on vacation! We're staying at Joey & Anna's apartment and going from there. Our flight is out of Indianapolis and it's leaving Indi at 6:00 a.m. (5:00 a.m. our time). We're so glad that Joey & Anna are going with us; it should be a lot of fun (and really hot!)
We'll update when we return. Let's hope the boys behave themselves on their vacations!

Jonah turns ONE!
We've had a few fun things occur since the last time we've written. The most exciting news is that Jonah turned one last Friday (May 30). It's hard to believe that a year has already gone by. He's ready to take off walking, he's taken a few steps here and there, but still prefers to crawl. He also got his first haircut on Sunday, given to him by Nana. He looks much better now that the curls aren't hanging in his eyes. He had his 1-year appointment on Tuesday. He's growing and healthy. He weighed in at 25 lbs, 11 oz; 31" long. That's about 85% for both height and weight, but his head is still off the charts; he must have a lot of brains. :-)
Keri's last day of school was also Friday (May 30). Next year, she'll be teaching 2nd grade, so she's looking forward to that. In just the first 4 days of summer vacation, she and the boys have been to the pool twice, had golf lessons, and have been to the library. They're staying busy.
Patrick had his first golf lesson on Wednesday. He had fun! He was one of the few 3-year-olds in the group, and they got to have their very own instructor; all the "old" kids had to share their teachers. :-) He was so excited about having golf that day, that he was ready to go at 9:30 that morning, even though golf didn't start until 11:30. And when it was time to go grab a club, all the kids timidly walked up, but not our kid! He takes off like a wild horse, and runs so fast to the clubs that he wipes out flat on his face. It was hilarious! He jumps up and says, "I'm okay! I'm playing golf today!" He picked up his club of choice, and started swinging it like a baseball bat. All 6 instructors run for him at once. I should've had the video camera running. Thankfully, the rest of the lesson was much less exciting. He sure is one funny kid.
Jonah's birthday party is on Saturday, so the camera will be rolling. We'll certainly post some pictures of the big birthday boy.
