It has been so long since our last post! We have had so many fun things going on since the beginning of summer. First of all, our trip to Mexico was so nice. The worst part was getting there and coming back; let's just say that Mexican airports aren't exactly the most fun place to hang out. However, while we were there, it was great. Joey and Anna seemed to enjoy themselves, as well. Most of our days were spent relaxing at the pool, taking in the sun and Mojitos. We went to visit Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo a few times, eating at different restaurants while we were there, which by the way, the food was great! I think a group favorite was the Seaside Grille, located at a hotel nearby that happens to be a favorite getaway spot for celebrities. We didn't see anyone famous while we were there, but the food was fantastic!
Other fun stuff...
Patrick has had a great time this summer with "Spidey Sports", the library reading program, and of course, golf. He just had his last golf lesson today, and for the 2nd week in a row, he won the putting competetion. Today he won a soda, and they asked him what kind he wanted. His reply, "Make it black. I like anything black." That cracked them up. I did have to reply with, "Make sure it caffeine-free." So, he enjoyed his rootbeer on the way home and for most of the afternoon. Just a few of Patrick's favorite words and phrases right now, "Actually...; It certainly is!; Are you kidding me?; I'm so disappointed." and my personal favorite, "Oh for goodness sakes!"
Jonah is officially on the run and has been for quite a few weeks now. He's into all kinds of mischief, and has an unbelievable stubborn streak that is completely driving us nuts. At the same time, his personality is really growing, and he gets more and more fun each day. He doesn't really seem interested in toys quite yet, he'd much rather "use" the phone or remote control, walk & swing a broom or baseball bat, or play catch with anything that will fit into his hands. He's 14-months-old today!

House renovations continue. Right now we have guys redoing the deck and laying a patio in the back yard, and a painter came to repaint the ceiling and walls in the family room and kitchen. Michael has the fireplace down, and he has plans to retile it soon, and I will soon be staining door casings and baseboards. After this stuff is done, we need a break! We're exhausted from all this remodeling. So that means that we'll be living with a carpeted master bathroom for awhile.
I hope all is well with everyone. We hope to see all of you soon!
